Inspection chambers play an integral part in providing access to and ensuring the safety of underground drainage systems. Our range of adoptable and non-adoptable inspection chambers are designed to be compatible with sewer pipe systems (en1401).
They are classed as non-man entry access inspection chambers and as such are limited to 3 metre inverts in adoptable applications and 6 metres in non adoptable installations as stipulated in Sewers for Adoption 7th Edition (SFA 7).

Our chambers are specifically designed to connect to en1401 upvc sewer systems.
Our chambers are manufactured using high strength polyethylene, making them strong and robust, and can be installed in minimum granular surround or suitable as ‘dug’ material.
The units offer a fully watertight chamber, preventing the pollution of soils and ingress of water tables, effective against aggressive soils and leachete from polluted lands.
Extremely light-weight, these inspection chambers are far easier to install than concrete rings or other preformed access chambers.
Offers cost savings of up to 50% on overall installation cost when compared to more traditional methods.
- Complies with Sewers for Adoption (SfA7)
Complies with SfA7 type 3 and 4 chamber specifications, which means if the invert is above 1.2 metres then the access must be restricted to 350mm for safety compliance.
Models
Our non-man entry inspection chambers are designed specifically for connection to 110mm or 160mm en1401 UPVC sewer systems.
110mm chambers
These chambers come in either 450mm or 600mm diameter models. Both bases have a 110mm straight channel and two 110mm x 90° inlets, as well as two 110mm x 45° left/right hand branch entries. Standard chambers are available as either a complete single piece unit up to 2 metres deep or as a 3 part kit up to 6 metres that can be assembled on site.
160mm chambers
These chambers come in either 450mm or 600mm diameter models. Both bases have a 160mm straight channel and two 160mm x 90° inlets, as well as two 110mm x 45° left/right hand branch entries, for use with 110mm components. Standard chambers are available as either a complete single piece unit up to 2 metres deep or as a 3 part kit up to 6 metres that can be assembled on site.
The 3 part kit
The 3 part kit includes:
- Base with 160 main channels, 2 x160 inlets and 2 x 110mm inlets
- Chamber Shaft to 6 metres ( comes with seal)
- Reduction Cap with 350mm access

Fast & cost effective installation
The installation of these chambers is far easier than installing concrete rings or other preformed access chambers, making them much more cost-effective.
The bases are extremely light, weighing less around 15 kilos, so they can be lifted into place easily by one person. Single piece units and access shafts up to 2 metres can also be installed easily by two persons able, anything over that may need a machine in support.
Installing these chambers offers a saving of up to 50% on overall installation costs when compared to more traditional methods. In comparison, concrete chambers require a larger excavation, heavier plant and increased labour cost, resulting in higher costs and more time on site.
