Perforated Land Drainage Pipes

Perforated land drainage pipes are designed to allow rainwater and excess runoff to enter and drain away from the ground.

They are typically used to remove standing water from playing fields, agricultural land, car parks, and alongside roads and embankments.

Perforated pipes drain the water to a natural watercourse whilst a French drain or soakaway system allows some of the water to percolate into the surrounding soil without saturating the ground.

Be sure to check out the perforated drainage pipes below and, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our experts.

Perforated drainage pipes to suit every need

With sizes ranging from 60 to 160mm, available in 25, 50, 100, and 150m lengths, we stock a variety of perforated drainage pipes, here at Cotterill Civils.

These are manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which is lighter than concrete yet stronger than PVC – making them easier to transport and install. This material is also resistant to abrasion and is strong enough to support large loads.

In addition to perforated land drainage coils, we also stock a selection of plain-end perforated Twinwall pipes. These come in diameters of 150 to 600mm and are available in 6m lengths.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need perforated or unperforated pipes?

Deciding between perforated and unperforated pipes can be difficult – especially since they both come with their uses and benefits.

However, perforated land drainage pipes have perforations (holes) that allow water to infiltrate, ultimately preventing waterlogging.

This makes them an excellent choice for agricultural, construction, and landscaping applications.

Whilst they’re often used to address surface water run-off, perforated drainage pipes can also come in useful for managing subsoil moisture and enhancing soil aeration.

To determine whether land drains with perforations are right for you, get in touch with the team today.

What are the benefits of using our perforated drainage pipes?

Every perforated drainage pipe we supply is manufactured to an exceptionally high standard, from top-quality HDPE.

Thanks to their lightweight material, they are incredibly easy to handle and quick to install, which helps to minimise your labour costs.

Our perforated pipes have been designed to prevent silt accumulation and they can be used on most soil types.

Supplied in a choice of diameters and lengths, you should have no problem finding something suitable for your application, either.
