FasTrack Orange Woven Geotextile by Wrekin provides excellent performance as a non-porous material to prevent vertical drainage of water and redirect it to the appropriate source.

Its colour acts as as a safety feature to alert future users of the danger of the cross-contamination of the soil beneath.

Full Description

FasTrack Orange Woven Geotextile provides excellent performance with projects that require erosion control, and the bright colour alerts contractors to avoid cross-contamination of soil types. It also helps to direct the water elsewhere and avoid travelling vertically into the soil which aids stability. Woven geotextiles provide a strong separation between layers due to the interlocking nature of the polypropylene tapes and are ideal for heavy duty projects.

How does it work?

Wrekin FasTrack Woven Geotextile is made from polypropylene tapes which are tightly woven to produce a hard-wearing, waterproof sheet which is often used in road works. The orange colour alerts current and future users of the danger of further excavation which may lead to contaminated soil bleeding into safe soil. Due to the strong weaving of the material, water can pass over easily to be directed to another source. Erosion is considerably reduced as water is sent in a different direction, and does not descend vertically into the ground. FasTrack is excellent at separating different types of soils to keep them protected and stable, which is especially important when separating dangerous types of soil. The colour of the product acts as an effective safety measure.

Main Applications

Car Parks
FasTrack woven geotextile is effective in the construction of car parks, as it has low permeability which allows rainwater to be transported to appropriate drainage systems. This as opposed to the water vertically draining into the soil which would be detrimental to its quality beneath the car park. This type of geotextile is very strong and can withstand heavy weight loads including cars and large vehicles.

New Buildings
For the same reasons as above, FasTrack Woven Geotextile is frequently used in the construction of new houses. This is because it acts as a barrier for water to pass over to the relevant drainage system to protect the ground beneath the houses keeping them stable and level.

Areas with contaminated soil
Any area which has contaminated soil will benefit from having this product beneath it. It acts as a strengthener as well as separating different soil types from intermixing, which is important to consider especially as certain soils are unsafe if mixed.
